Development of BDOS began in 1988. The name is derived from BD which requires no explanation and DOS which was an early disk operating system employed on IBM and Compaq desktop computers. It did not take too much imagination to make a jump to BD/OS, drop the "/" and arive at BDOS - Broker Dealer Operating System.
Our first client was a North Carolina BD in 1989... a long time ago. We have continuously grown and evolved since that time.
We maintain excellent relations with our clients. Some have been using BDOS for almost 20 years. We believe BDOS has played a factor in thier success and sincerely appreciate the loyalty of both long time and newer clients.
There is no such thing as a typical Broker Dealer. Our clients include banks, an insurance company and a clearing firm in India. They pose a different set of requirements and we strive to meet them.
BDOS has extensive capabilities and usually meets the needs of most of our clients without significant modification. But, if you have special requirements, let us know. We are confident we can meet them.
